Aluminium Room Dividers

The Room Divider has the same qualities as our sliding patio door but is specially designed to be used internally. With it's slim profiles and 23mm low threshold it provides you with a very functional sliding room divider that is suitable for both commercial and domestic applications. The low threshold can be sunk into the floor to achieve a minimal step over of around 14mm.

Our room divider is an aluminium framed, sliding glass partition that is ideal for use between any two rooms. Even though these doors are for internal use only the sashes use the latest Polyamide thermal barrier and can take double glazed units if required. This room divider uses a three track system that allows for maximum openings.

Aluminium Room Divider Performance

These statistics apply for:Heavy duty interlock, standard double-glazed units, argon filled (low-E, en=0.05, soft coat), 16mm or more (1.0 Glass - U Value centre Pane*). For example we specify Planitherm 4S 24mm units (Oct 2010 Part L Compliant).

Panel Handles

Each of the interlocking panels on the room divider has a key operated pull handle on one side with a finger pull operated recessed handle on the other side.

These are the panels that meet in the middle to lock together and that lock into the outerframe.

Handles are available in black and white only.

Glass Options

When it comes to glass, and glass designs you can literally have almost anything you want, from specialist glasses such as self cleaning glass to tinted glass. Our Room Dividers come with 90% argon gass filled, 1.0 centre pane U value glass*, clear toughened safety glass as standard. Door can be supplied with Planitherm 24mm glazed sealed units, or suppleid unglazed for 24mm units. Some examples of the different glass you can have are as follows:

• Laminated glass (for additional security).
• Self Cleaning Glass
• Anti-sun glass (available in a grey or bronze tint)
• Obscure and Textured Glass

Note: All Room Dividers are supplied with glass separate. Doors with panels over 1500mm are supplied unglazed only. This is due to the weight of the panels and is a transport issue. (you will need to source your own glass)

Colour Options

Our Room Dividers are available in white, black, brown and silver anodised from our conventional colour range, any textured paint finish or any RAL colour paint finish. There is also the option to have dual colours.

Where you can have a different colour outside and inside, for example grey outside and white inside.
